The Royal Family haven't cut Andrew loose. He still lives in a Royal property and is invited to Family events. Did we just see him walking with the rest of the family on Christmas Day? I

Hi! Yes you are correct they haven’t cut him loose personally and he will always be part of the family. But professionally they have done everything they can to strip him of his official duties, role and title. The fact he still lives in royal lodge is pretty much the final thing that reflects his former life as a working royal. Thanks for reading and commenting

As long as he's is still present at some events like the Christmas walk, the coronation and the Garter Day luncheon he's not being cut loose professionally imo. Thanks for the reply btw.

Yes I definitely see this view although several non working royals also attend Sandringham and attended the coronation in a personal capacity so it’s not indicative of representing the monarchy formally. The fact he is still a member of the order of the garter is rightly controversial though as well as still living in royal lodge.

If you enjoy it, definitely join! 💪🏻 I’m going to be 40 soon and love running - but just had a baby (well, 8 months ago). I’m determined to get back to it at some point this year because it makes such a difference to how I feel - fingers crossed I still can!

Thanks! Yes, the other thing I didn’t fully go into here was the juggle with the timetable once you have kids and how every bit of “me” time has to be chosen carefully. Good luck with the getting back to running, am sure you’ll love it just as much.

Omg. I went ‘back to hockey’ after 25 years away 5 years ago. Now train once a week, play a match once a week and can’t imagine life without it. So refreshing to do skenthint for yourself, plus gives you a reason to push yourself in other fitness / strength training. There is literally nothing like the camaraderie of a team sport, and the emotional resilience you build while quieting your internal imposter syndrome and self-consciousness is unparalleled. Do it!! If after a few months you don’t enjoy, no drama. Nothing ventured….

Thanks! And thanks for being the first person to comment on my Substack also. I agree there is nothing like team sport and I had forgotten that. I’ll keep you posted if I play a match…
